since you have alot of neutrals it might be a good idea to add a pop of color. RED is defiantly a good choice. The color red creates a feeling of hungry which is great for kitchens. However, if you aren't comfortable with such a bold color, try something in the blue-green family, like Sea Foam Green. This color will create a relaxing feel instead of an energetic one. Pick up an Interior Design magazine to get some ideas on color schemes, browns are very hot right now! GOOD LUCK!

I have been cooking for 35 years, and I never heard of seasoning anything except cast iron. Stainless steel should be usable from day one after you clean off the dust from the purchase box. ;

I think a tumbled marble backsplash would look great with your new Sued Brown Granite. I don't really know what look you are going for…like if you want a subtle backsplash or something flashy? You can really have fun with the backsplash as there are so many options out there! I suggest that you just google "kitchen backsplashes" and look at alot of photos to pinpoint what you want. If you are wanting to sale your home in the near future I personally would go with something subtle like the tumbled marble…that is what I'm doing in my own kitchen.
